One of many continuing tenant improvement projects at the American College of Physicians (ACP) building located on Independence Mall, hpeGROUP had the pleasure of helping the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) relocate their offices from the Bourse Building to occupy 35,000 square feet on two floors of ACP. DVRPC had a number of specific needs which we helped them achieve while balancing the building standards we helped ACP establish.
A large, multi-partitioned conference room, with fully integrated audio/video systems presented challenges to the design team. Despite four potential room division scenarios, DVRPC has the ability to conveniently control lighting and A/V systems in each discrete space. HVAC controls also respond to different space populations dynamically.
DVRPC has a graphic design center, which required selective lighting control as well as special satellite pin-up areas for impromptu discussions with accent lighting for project display.
Concurrent with their graphic design capabilities, DVRPC also has significant in-house printing capabilities. A print shop, with specialized electrical connections and HVAC equipment, was constructed as part of this project.
